Pool
If dirty yellow clouds have formed in the water, this does not mean that pool man has not been performing its functions for a long time - it means that the concentration of sunscreen has increased significantly.
Sunscreen residues cannot be completely filtered out. The more often you swim in the pool while wearing sunscreen, the more often the pool becomes untidy and requires draining and refilling.
Garbage
Most of the locals do not separate rubbish. But…
There are numerous businesses here that gather and recycle recyclable materials. This isn't just a business; it's a contribution to the environment.
Since there is no waste processing plant in Samui, the island's waste has to be transported to a waste processing plant on the mainland. But in practice, this isn't feasible just like this.
There is a landfill is located on the island – on a hill – and all the unsorted waste rots and decomposes, contaminating the surrounding area for miles with toxic fumes and streams of polluted water.
All we can do is take a more thoughtful approach to generating and sorting waste in our daily lives. We've found a solution for ourselves.
