Our goal:
Make resort look clean and tidy

• Do not store any items outdoors where guests can see them.

• Every tool we use has to have a separate spot to be stored in.
  
  

  Please make sure that public areas around resort and villa have to be always clean.

Sorting Room

We love Samui and want to keep it as clean as possible. By sorting rubbish, we help poor people to make their job of recycling items gathering a bit easier.
Second hand stuff for share and reuse will be delivered to the sorting room. Feel free to give it to others.

In our sorting room we do sort rubbish by type:

• Different plastic waste,

• Clean plastic water bottles,

• Metal items,

• Aluminium items,

• Glass items.

Let’s keep Samui clean!

Laundry

Please do:

• Sort laundry items by type following instruction in the laundry,

• Do not use chlorine for the laundry of white items or for stain removal. This destroys the material and after several washes it turns yellow.
  
  
  

• In order to reduce water consumed, use washing machine for every laundry except for hand wash and jet wash items. It is more cost-effective and gives better quality.

• Please put washing powder/liquid directly to the drum.
  
  
  

• You’re welcome to use resort’s washing machine for your personal needs. Just make sure you do not overload it – it must be not more than a half of drum, otherwise machine could brake quicker.
  
  Remember:
  Rather two loads and short washing cycle than an overloaded drum and long washing cycle.

Laundry – External Services

We do not wash big and heavy items in our laundry. For linen and bed covers, bathroom and pool towels we do use external services.

TYPE A ––––– Linen, bathroom and pool towels, duvet cover ––––– Amarin Laundry, full service including pick up and delivery

TYPE B ––––– Bed covers, mattress protectors, other heavy items ––––– Bobo Laundry, self service (near Honda shop in Maenam)

Storage

We do reuse many different items in our resort.
Every item we use has to have a separate spot to be stored in.

Please put new items on the sorting table, they have to be sorted out first. If you struggle where is their storage spot, keep it on the table and I will do that.
Once a storage spot is set up, always bring back this particular item to this particular spot.

In the room under A4 we store stuff for your work:

• Cleaning supplies and every tool you work with when cleaning,

• Garden tools,

• Stock of rubbish bags,

• Garden needs: plant growing powder,

• Garden needs: poison for insects.

In the room under A4 we also store:

• Tiles,

• Cement and glue powder,

• Paint buckets.

In the space under A4 we store:

• Water supply: Plastic pipes and connectors,

• Different type of pipe and rods (metal, plastic, wood),

• Electrical supply: cable channels, plastic items,

• Short pipe and rod pieces, sorted by type and stored in the shelving,

• Short wooden planks, sorted by type and stored in the shelving.

In the laundry area we store:

• Laundry items itself,

• Laundry supply items: washing powder, small buckets

In Sports Sala we store:

• Sport equipment,

• Yoga accessories,

• Toys for kids.

Under Sala we store:

• Roofing slate,

• Bricks,

• Glass blocks,

• Big items such as bathtub,

• Other material for fundamental construction work except for the items which are already stored in the room under A4.

Under the Old Thai House we temporary store:

• Long wooden planks which were cleaned from nails and other metal.
  
  Just keep in mind that this area has to be clean in the future.

Harvest, tools, consumables, vehicles and other belongings

According to the resort's long-standing tradition, we share the harvest among ourselves and with the resort's guests.

Please do not hesitate to report about any damage you noted or caused. Broken/damaged items needs to be removed from guests use, repaired/changed as soon as possible.

Please do not take anything from resort/villa without prior permission.

In case you’d like to use resort vehicles for your own needs, please get a confirmation first. Also, once you start using it for your own needs you are responsible for fueling it at all times.

Chlorine

The only reason to apply chlorine in resort or villa is fighting fungus.

Pay attention! Chlorine containing cleaning detergents are dangerous for people and nature.
Respiratory protection is a must! Please use googles to protect your eyes, long sleeve clothes as well as gloves to protect your skin.

Bonfire

There is only one spot in the resort where we do bonfire. All the garden waste all around resort as well as from the villa has to be delivered to this burning area.

Please use drying area to store garden waste if it needs to dry first.

We do burn:

• Tree brunches and trunks,

• Paper,

• Carton,

• Any other natural waste which doesn’t produce too much smoke.
  
  

Please do not ever burn:

• Plastic,

• Any type of rubbish.

  
  

  Try to avoid burning mown grass and put it to rot instead.
